There are four main reasons why you should transfer your Marriott Rewards points to Starwood. These reasons include taking advantage of the SPG airline transfer functionality, both Marriott and SPG contain the same concept of airline and hotel travel combos, SPG has the most situational value between different hotels and airlines, and lastly most people prefer the SPG cash and points system.
