Amara Bangkok is in soft opening mode, which unfortunately translates to the fact that not all of the facilities are available as yet but it is only a matter of time before this plush hotel will be operating in full swing.
There is a wide range of sophisticated and well planned rooms on offer that even include a Ladies’ Room for those females who like to have a room on an all female floor. Despite what room you prefer each has flat screen digital TVs, high speed LAN and Wi-Fi Internet, IP phones, rain showers and luxurious bath tubs to soak the weary bones in. The rooms are a perfect retreat from the boisterous hub of the city with calming color pallets and ultra modern plush furnishings. Decorated with original art of the Thai variety, these compliment the works of art displayed throughout the hotel’s common areas.
To get that little bit extra out of your stay by way of comfort and complimentary amenities, go for a Club Room, which will give you access to the Club Lounge on Level 20. It is here you will be able to sit back and relax with an unhurried breakfast, morning or afternoon tea goodies and evening cocktails.
The various rooms range in size from 26 sqm to 34 sqm with no compromise on a high level of being functional without losing their wonderfully elegant ambience. Cabana Rooms on Level 9 have direct access to jacuzzis with magical views, whilst the Executive Rooms are designed to give you a sense of “home away from home” feelings. The Club Rooms are located on Floors 20 to 24 with a promise of total privacy and the ultimate in personalized service. Ladies Rooms can be found on Level 20 and the top of the tree being the Amara Suite is located on Level 16. If you can open your wallet enough for this treat you will be undeniably spoilt with every benefit including a gorgeous adjoining living area.
For the business traveler there is an extensive Business Center on Level 8 where you will find everything you need to complete that urgent matter which will be open from 8am to 8pm. You will be able to meet friends, chat to the bartender and relish in your own company with a cocktail or two in The Bar on Level 1. From any format or type of social occasion to Business Conference, the team at Amara has it covered. Meeting Rooms are equipped with up to the minute audio-visual facilities that can be altered to suit your needs.
A new innovation in stocking your mini bar is to purchase all of your favorites from the Mini Bar Boutique in the Lobby and they will be delivered to your hotel room, with the bonus of being at the local corner store price. Level 22 is where you will be able to sweat it out in the well-equipped gym with treadmills and weights that you may need, due to the excess of chocolates you put in your mini bar.
If you need that quick fix or slowly indulged caffeine hit, a friendly barrister in the Barista Cafe where you can sit and watch the world go by will make the perfect coffee. All day dining is taken care of in the Element Restaurant, which features Singaporean cuisine in addition to provincial Chinese delights. If you desire that pre going out drink or a last drink for the night you can head to Level 26, the rooftop. AkaAza is a sky-high bar with a limitless view over Bangkok’s skyline where you can satisfy your thirst or treat yourself to one of the many bar snacks.
