Nestled in the Gulf of Thailand, only 310 km from Bangkok and near Cambodia’s border, Koh Chang is the third largest island in Thailand.
It is one of 51 islands that form the Mu Koh Chang National Park archipelago, which is an international tourist destination for its lush rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife and beautiful coral reefs. Awa Resort Koh Chang is going to be the largest resort on the island, and the most desired destination for those tourists seeking a luxurious base from which to explore the natural wonders of this area.
Despite having a somewhat small beachfront area, the landscaped grounds and pool area exude all the ambience of a luxurious seaside retreat. Situated at Kai Bae Beach, the eastern inspired design of the hotel reflects Thailand’s relaxed and laid back hospitable atmosphere.
One hundred and nineteen rooms of comfort and style, set amidst a tropical wonderland that not only caters to the needs of couples, but families and business travelers as well. All air conditioned rooms have home away from home comforts such as a kettle for that late night cup of tea, or a mini bar for those that prefer something cold, your own personal DVD player for your favorite music or movie, cable TV, Wi-Fi and the can’t do without out, bathrobe and slippers for complete relaxation and comfort.
The hotel will offer everything you could wish for to make that perfect holiday a reality with a coffee shop, a bar and another one located poolside to ensure that you don’t go thirsty whilst lazing around. Restaurants and room service will provide delicious fare of both international and local cuisines. For the business executive or that important conference, there is a business center and meeting facilities. Car parking is available if you have a car, otherwise hire a bicycle to explore the surrounding area. For those that wish to escape the constant demands of youngsters, there is a kids club and their own separate pool area. Babysitting can be arranged through reception, so there is no excuse for mums not to indulge in a bit of pampering at the sauna and spa on site, or a chill out massage.
In peak season there is a minimum five-night stay with a surcharge applicable during Songkran Festival (11-16 April). Children between the ages of 4 and 12 can stay free of charge if no extra bedding is required, with a token breakfast charge of 250tb. Compulsory gala dinners happen on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
