Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao isn’t a typical resort.
The resort is a shared ownership concept property, also known as fractional ownership or a timeshare. Participants purchase flexible periods of time that allow them to select from a number of properties when it’s time to take a vacation. Where to vacation may be a tough choice- the Anantara brand has properties in Koh Samui, Queenstown, Bali and Phuket.
The luxururious one, two and three bedroom apartments are not only for monied timeshare owners. Far from it. All suites and villas can be reserved for as little as one night, but once you and your family have settled yourselves in these spacious surroundings, you’ll surely want to stay longer. I guess the goal is to impress you so much that you’ll want to buy in- no pressure you understand.
Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao opened this summer. It’s located in northwest Phuket between the area’s longest beach and the lush foliage of Sirinath National Park. The area is rich in natural treasures from reefs to sea caves to mangrove forests. The resort is designed to be a home away from home, a place where guests can rest and recharge in between adventures.
Being such a key location in Asia for shared ownership resorts, Phuket was the obvious choice of destination for our first signature property, which offers the ultimate guest experience for our owners
says Harold Derrah, CEO of Anantara Vacation Club.
Accommodations include 70 one, two and three bedroom apartment suites in addition to 30 one and two bedroom pool villas. The different configurations boast unique amenities ranging from private balconies to private plunge pools with sun decks to garden rain showers. Rooms are family friendly and two bedroom pool villas even go so far as to include a children’s wading area at one end of the pool.
Resort facilities wow with a large swim-up lagoon with Jacuzzi, a kids club, gym overlooking the pool and easy access to Mai Khao Beach. Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao offers yoga, meditation and stretching classes to feed the soul as well as Thai cooking classes to feed the belly. There are three restaurants, all-day venue Cham, wood-fired pizza sala Crust and swim-up bar Ripples. Guests preferring a more private experience can visit the continental deli and pick up wine and pre-packaged goodies or hire a chef through the resort’s Dining by Design concept.
