Escape the World on the Private Island of Cape Fahn Hotel at Koh Samui

A member of Small Luxury Hotels, Cape Fahn Hotel sits on its own private island at Koh Samui where you can play with the other jet setters in pure unadulterated luxury.

Think chartering your own yacht for the day (or maybe a tad longer), skipping along the white sandy foreshore where there will be no other footprints but yours or lounging in your sumptuous bed of luxurious linen whist gazing at an endless view of aquamarine water. This is the definition of the “lap of luxury” where beachside dreaming is a reality.

Opening its doors in September 2018, Cape Fahn has the unashamedly wow factor happening on all counts. Located off Choeng Mon Beach on the northeast corner of Koh Samui, you can take a leisurely boat trip from Surat Thani or put on your wings and fly direct from Bangkok to Koh Samui Airport where you will be whisked away to the Cape Fahn Hospitality Lounge. Here you can wait in style with complimentary beverages, snacks to stop the stomach quivers, complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you in touch with the outside world (totally for bragging rights) and plenty of magazines and newspapers to entertain you until your boat arrives to take you over the 200 meter strait to the island. If by some chance the tide is out and you feel like a lazy slow walk, you can actually make your way over to the resort without the use of floaties.

Decked out in beachy colors and beachy vibes, this is open-air luxury no matter what pool villa you have chosen. You can take your pick from a one bedroom to a tropical, deluxe, ocean view or a beach front villa, as they all come with their own private pools. If you need a bit more space to dance around in there is a tropical 2-bedroom villa, plus the ultimate can be had in the Fahn Noi Private Island Pool Villa. Spacious and elegant, rooms have balconies with sun loungers and every amenity that you could in your wildest dreams want at your fingertips from huge bath tubs to wallow in to widescreen LCD TVs with cable for when you merely wish to vegetate in front of the square box.

When it comes time to satisfy the hunger pangs, you will be spoiled with choice from
the “Crest on the Isle” with breathtaking views over the Gulf of Thailand offering a creative slant on fine dining, to “Hue” all day dining venue dishing up international and Thai cuisine that will make your mouth water the moment you glance over the menu.  For the romantic souls there is the option of dining on the beach, or it may be the desire to have total privacy by indulging in some in-room dining.

There is a main salt-water pool if you have no wish to splash in the salty ocean and there is the added bonus of an “adults only” plunge pool created with foot-wells so that you can sit on the pool floor in total relaxation mode.  The children’s pool will keep the kids out of your hair and out of your mind.  Of course there is always the beach where you can soak the body or recline in a deck chair on the sand with your favorite book.
