Fisherman’s Harbour Urban Resort Phuket

The newest resort to grace the beachside area of Patong on Phuket Island is The Fishermen’s Harbour Urban Resort Phuket. Currently in “soft opening” mode, this would be a good time to indulge in a little bit of holiday playtime, whether it is for the whole family, a group of friends or a romantic interlude for two. The official opening date will be in November, 2015.
Located in the very heart of pulsating Patong, the resort is 6 stories of streamlined modern architecture with 390 rooms in total. An ultra short walk to the shopping mecca of Jungceylon and the golden beach, it is around the corner from the famous Simon’s Cabaret, a Patong institution in a town known not only for its beaches but for its partying nightlife as well.
Despite its size, the layout of the gardens and external areas such as three swimming pools, give the guest the feel of a much smaller boutique property. The inner sanctum or courtyard area is the focus of this modern property. The landscaping of verdant tropical plants, stylish walkways and the blue hues of the swimming pools lend an anything but “city” feel to the property.
Spacious and well-appointed guest rooms which include comfy beds, settees, large wall-mounted televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and the most necessary of items, a small refrigerator to keep the necessary beverages cold, which you can fill with your own brand of delights. There are extra large bath towels and complimentary toiletries with a large walk-in shower. You can flash all you want behind a floor to ceiling glass divider as you shower, or shut a sliding wooden louver door, if you are a bit on the shy side.
All of the friendly staff are English speaking and will ensure that your every wish is catered for. Handy hints such as local restaurants to dine at, where to indulge in a traditional Thai massage, where to shop or what to see or do, are all in their repertoire. There is a regular shuttle on hand for when your legs just don’t feel like walking and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel so you never need to feel disconnected from your own world, if that is what you want. A special bonus is free on-site parking, which in Patong is a rarity.
