
Futuristic technology is to be a key part of the 500 million baht make-over taking place at the Hua Hin Hilton Hotel Resort & Spa.
General manager Denis Richter reveals that the technology upgrade and refurbishment of the hotel’s 296 rooms should be completed by 2018.
It’s likely that as well as using a hotel app to check-in and check-out, guests will use their smartphones as keys – something coming onstream for most of the Hilton chain’s next year.
The upgrade is aimed at giving the Hilton the edge in the highly competitive Hua Hin area, which has become even more attractive to tourists since development of a range of new attractions such as golf courses, water parks and shopping malls.
Access routes in are improving and Thailand’s Tourism Authority is “selling” the resort to indigenous tourists.
