It’s time for discounts in Thailand hotels as many big hotel chains are feeling the heat after the ongoing economic downturn has forced the Thai people into cautious spending.
As a result, hotels are engaged in a fierce competition in declaring rebates and enticing clients during the low season, starting May.
A 50% discount has been announced by none other than Centara Hotels & Resorts for guests willing to book their rooms by April 30. The offer, which will expire on Sept 30, specifies that the visitors, however, can enjoy their stay only during weekdays.
Stating that the idea behind offering price cuts by his hotel is to efficiently manage inventory during the low season, Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive of Centara, said the revenue target would be met through aggressive marketing and promotional campaigns throughout the year.
