A Christmas present from Hyatt with the opening of Bangkok’s fourth Hyatt hotel, the 5 star Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit in the Nana area of the Thai capital.
The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit is part of a 31 storey mix-use development which also includes a luxury condominium and yet another upscale shopping mall. It is easily accessible by public transport via direct access skybridge to BTS Skytrain Nana station, offering easy access to all the shopping malls, surrounding business districts and many of the tourist attractions of the City of Angels.
There are 273 guest rooms here including 21 suites. All guest rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of Bangkok.
Standard rooms are 35-37 square meters and come in 2 twin bed and king size configurations, while the deluxe rooms offer a little more space at 46-57 square meters. All standard rooms have the option of Club Access, which offers access to the Regency Club lounge* on the 27th Floor, which offers benefits including breakfast, light snacks, hors d’oeuvres and dessert, exclusive check-in and check-out services and one-hour complimentary use of Regency Club meeting room with advance reservation, subject to availability.
For those with a bigger budget there are five suite configurations starting at 63-70 square meters for the Regency Suite with 1 King Bed, up to the 124 square meter Premier Suite with King Bed located on the 25th-27th floors. Finally there is the extravagant 208 square meter Presidential Suite on the 28th floor, with a large outdoor terrace and access to the Regency Club Lounge*.
Head to the 6th floor for the pool and gym. Set amongst lush vegetation is a free form pool as well as an outdoor whirlpool. Plenty of lounges and seating, in both sunny and shay areas. Relax with a drink from the pool bar and enjoy the sauna and steam room.
The StayFit gym is open 24 hours and offers a cardio zone, strength zone and free weights, all with views of the city.
With the introduction of the first Hyatt Regency in the Bangkok, Hyatt now has offerings in all price ranges and all along a 3 mile stretch of Sukhumvit, one of the main commercial districts of Bangkok and is always throbbing with activity and served well by public transport. Other Hyatts in the area are the Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit, which caters to the more budget conscious crowds, families and groups, (World of Hyatt award category 2), the Park Hyatt Bangkok (World of Hyatt award category 5), and finally, my personal favorite; the Grand Hyatt Erawan (World of Hyatt award category 4),
*Regency Club lounge is not available at the time of opening and is scheduled to be ready in Q1 2019.
