Keep hounding illegal hotels, Thai hotel association urges govt

Thailand has long been a place that foreigners visit to find adventure and exotic delights. Unfortunately its capital city Bangkok, along with some other areas, has also earned itself a bit of a harsh reputation. Part of this problem comes from the fact that unlicensed boarding houses provide a seemingly cheap option to crash out after a long day of sightseeing. Unfortunately they also provide a lower level of safety.

The Thai government has definitely noticed the problem incurred by these illegal hotels and has recently started cracking down. It helps reduce that bad name that these facilities breed with their poor security and service and drives more custom their way.
