After a three year absence, Marriott returns to Hua Hin with the stunning Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, which just opened last week. Centrally located and sitting on 3.5 hectares of beachfront land in Hua Hin, there are 322 rooms and suites to wow the holidaymaker seeking a retreat in Thailand’s paradise.
This will be the 19th Marriott property in Thailand under its umbrella of brands.
Hua Hin is a cosmopolitan mix of a city meeting the sea, where historically the aristocrats of Bangkok would flee for weekends because of its close proximity. The local area explodes with colorful street vendors, amazingly fresh seafood, long stretches of white sandy beaches, plenty of tuk tuks for beach-hopping and vibrant markets.
The Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa is the complete indulgent package. All guest-rooms feature private balconies or terraces, with top floor suites having separate living and dining areas, kitchens and bars. The rooms are done out in neutral relaxing shades accented with Thai influences, luxurious appointments and amenities at your fingertips. There is high-speed Internet, wall-mounted LCD flat screen TVs with international satellite channels, electronic in-room safes, coffee and tea making facilities and a mini-bar at your disposal. From a superior guest room through the gambit of Deluxe sea view, deluxe pool terrace, deluxe pool access where you can roll out of bed into the water, to a Junior Suite, Garden Suite or indulge in the Ambassador Suite, they are all airy, soothing and imbued with a calming ambience. This is one of the new breed of “smoke free” hotels.
The Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa has a decadent full service Spa as you would expect and full facilities for business or special events, such as a ballroom if you happen to need one. There are several swimming pools to choose from including an adult-only pool, if you don’t want to be listening to the squawk of someone else’s gremlins. Extensive children’s facilities such as a tree house, kid’s club and children’s own water park complete with slides, make this the perfect place to bring your noisy horde. There is a spacious Fitness Center equipped with the latest machines of healthy torture for those that aren’t content with just jogging along the beach.
If you don’t wish to chase down a street vendor for some fried cockroaches, the dining options are diverse and plentiful either in-house or at one of the many spectacular restaurants within close proximity. In-house options include The Amber Kitchen serving up international cuisine and it is where you can sit indoors or outside. The Big Fish is a bar and grill affair where you can sit with your feet in the sand, whilst the Pool Bar serves up the necessary munchies to take away the hunger pangs whilst reclining on a day bed. There is also the Siam Bakery to satisfy the yen for some buttery pastries.
The Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa is another sublime offering by Marriott International.
