Meliá Phuket Mai Khao Hotel Announced for 2021

Meliá Hotels International are expanding their sandy and city footprints in Thailand with the announcement of adding Meliá Phuket Mai Khao to its portfolio, which will be due to open in 2021.

This private 101-villa wonderland will be joining The Imperial Boat House Beach Resort Koh Samui that sits on the beachfront of Choeng Mon Beach and is only 15 minutes from the Samui International Airport.

Meliá Phuket Mai Khao Hotel will have the same hints of Spanish influences that Meliá hotels are renowned for. Located close to the Phuket International Airport, the resort has the ultimate beachfront location of white glistening sand lapped by the azure waters of the Andaman Sea. Mai Khao Beach is the longest stretch of beach on Phuket’s west coast guaranteeing privacy, solitude and serenity for anyone seeking a reclusive hide-away without having to forgo the decadent luxuries.

Meliá Phuket Mai Khao Hotel will of course have everything you could want to fulfil your fantasy beachside escape, including a private pool with each villa in case you have the irrational urge to jump in naked. For those into wearing swimwear and mingling with other guests, there will be 2 incredible swimming pools in the common area to have a splash in and Zen courtyards to compliment the wellness focus of the resort.

Meliá’s signature YHI spa will be available for pampering purposes and the hotel will have business meeting facilities on offer, if you need to have a reason for a tax-deductible holiday on your expense account. For those chasing the perfect venue for a celebratory banquet, there is a stunning space and the staff to organise the wow factor for you. Discerning guests will have plenty of options of what and where to eat from a cosy lobby lounge to a chillax pool bar, as well as an all-day dining restaurant.

If you feel the need to check out the area of Mai Khao you will find the Sirinat National Park for exploring a bit of nature and the local critters, plus there is the Royal Phuket Marina and Lahm Him Pier for a bit of luxury boat ogling.

Meliá Hotels International, Spain’s leading hotel group, is strategically focusing on international growth and already has hotels in countries such as China, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. To widen their dream locations Meliá are also planning on opening Meliá Chiang Mai in northern Thailand and INNSIDE Bangkok Sukhumvit to join the Meliá Bangkok, which they signed up for in 2016.
