Natural Waterfalls and Lush Jungle Surround Phuket’s Mandarava Resort & Spa

A brand new resort in Karon Beach Phuket is offering a bit of a twist on the Thailand island paradise getaway.
The Mandarava Resort & Spa isn’t located directly on the beach like many properties (although it is just a short walk away,) but instead located on a tropical hillside amid lush jungle and natural waterfalls. Villas and infinity pools are spread across the slopes of the hillside and many of the locations offer views of brilliant Karon Beach.
Opened on February 1 2013, Mandarava Resort & Spa has 39 villas containing 130 smartly decorated rooms. Natural woods, white linens and coffered ceilings give the rooms a relaxed yet refined look. Located on the bottom of the two story villas are the entry-level Tropicana Standard Rooms. Configured with either a double bed or twin beds, they offer views of a swimming pool or the vividly green jungle. On the top floor of the villas are the Panoramic Deluxe rooms. They boast large balconies with rocking chairs and broader views of the resort grounds. Finally, the Horizon Deluxe rooms are located in single story private villas. With additional square footage, separate showers and tubs, and cathedral ceilings, they’re at the top end of the resort’s room offerings.
Decisions while on vacation shouldn’t be challenging and the hardest one guests will have to make at Mandarava Resort & Spa is which of the three pools, all with swim up bars, to spend the day luxuriating in or around. The Cheeva Spa at the top of the hill is home to three massage and spa rooms, a steam room and relaxing outdoor Jacuzzi. Also at the top of the hill is Chom Talay, a restaurant with views of the beach and ocean and a natural cool breeze from a nearby waterfall.
The menu features authentic Thai dishes, fresh seafood and international cuisine. Chom Talay also offers cooking classes so guests can recreate the flavors and tastes of their Phuket experiences back at home.
