
Announced this week are new hotel openings in Macau, the Maldives and Sokcho (South Korea). Macau’s Wynn Palace has rooms, suites and villas and is designed around a floral theme. A highlight feature is air-conditioned ‘sky cabs’ which cross the central performance lake.
Soneva Jani, on the Maldives island of Medhufaru, has 56 villas, both over-sea and on land. Highlights here include retractable bedroom rooves and a cinema. The largest villa is an impressive 1680m2 and has three bedrooms and a beach location.
The Ramada Gangwon in Sokcho has almost 500 rooms plus 61 suites and includes a spa and banqueting hall among its facilities. It is located near to Daepo fish market, a National Park and numerous golf courses.
