Koh Samui, already an exclusive haven for swish resorts has added another one to its beautiful shores, the Novotel Samui Resort Chaweng Beach Kandaburi. Rebranded from Kandaburi Resort and Spa, it is the first hotel on Koh Samui for Novotel to join their existing portfolio of 15 hotels in Thailand.
Their mother company, Accor Hotels believe Samui is one of the fastest growing tourism slash resort areas in Asia. A four star hotel carrying the brand’s guarantee for spacious rooms, excellent service, up-to-date meeting rooms and a genuine commitment to its guests’ well-being, reinforces Accor’s dedication to development in the south of Thailand.
The resort is only 10 minutes from the Koh Samui Airport making your arrival on Koh Samui a breeze. Positioned near the entertainment precinct of Chaweng Beach with only a few steps to be taken before your feet touch the pristine waters of the Gulf of Thailand, the resort melds into its local surrounds with a peaceful ambience. Bringing the kids is no drama to this affordable luxury as there are 20 family rooms complete with bunk beds. In total 183 guest rooms with several being on the beachfront, you can relax in one of the two swimming pools, vegetate and be pampered in the spa or do some muscle toning in the fitness center. The Kanda Ballroom is the largest venue of its kind in the Chaweng area, being able to accommodate 250 people in style.
You won’t have to leave the resort to quell the hunger pangs, as there are 3 restaurants to choose from and the option of staying on a bed and breakfast, half-board or full board basis. The Beach Restaurant as expected sits on the beach with brilliant water views and an international menu. Local delicacies can be had at the Tom Yam Thai venue where you have a choice of air-conditioned comfort or an open-air terrace. Tasty light snacks and delicious cocktails can be found at the Beach Pool Bar.
Guest rooms come in a variety of configurations to suit the most discerning guest. Airy, bright and spacious, you can choose between Hillside Rooms with your own private terrace and large bathroom, Beachside Rooms with its own balcony, Family Suites with two bedrooms or a large Hillside Corner room. All guest rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, opening windows, complimentary morning newspaper and mineral water, in-room safe deposit box, flat screen televisions, coffee and tea making facilities, mini bar and Wi-Fi. There is 24-hour security staff and video surveillance through the resort.
