That is why AccorHotels, a French hotel company is looking to expand its operation to Thailand with a new lifestyle brand, Mama Shelter. This is new territory for them and they are hoping to tap into a market that was previously unserved.

“Accor operates 69 hotels and 16,023 rooms in Thailand. Of the total, 27 are luxury hotels and resorts under the Sofitel, SO Sofitel, MGallery by Sofitel, Swissotel and Pullman labels. It has 18 hotels in its pipeline opening in Thailand by 2019, with 4,143 rooms covering the Ibis Styles, Novotel, Mercure, Sofitel, M Gallery and Ibis brands.”
