Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa Gives New Reason to Explore Area

Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa

Laid-back Rayong offers easy access to the islands of Koh Samet, waterfalls, national parks and limestone caves.

So many of the hotels profiled on our site call bustling Bangkok or famed Phuket home and for good reason- these areas are beautiful and growing at a rapid pace.  However, there are thousands of other spots in Thailand that may not receive quite as much press but are still fantastic spots for a holiday.  A perfect example of this is Rayong, located on the eastern Thai coastline.  This laid-back portion of the country offers easy access to the islands of Koh Samet and Koh Mun as well as waterfalls, national parks and limestone caves.

The Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa features 195 rooms and 10 suites with panoramic views of the ocean or lush hillside from private balconies.

Accommodations are modern, with granite and timber floors, daybeds for lounging, slideaway bathroom walls and separate showers and tubs.  Beds are made up with Marriott’s custom duvets and guests can pick their favorite pillow type.  For those traveling with kids or large groups, interconnecting rooms are available.

There’s no shortage of activities for all ages.  A lagoon-style pool offers waterslides for the kids (and let’s be honest, for fun-loving moms and dads as well) in addition to a beachside pool.

The hotel spa is set to open in May and will include eight treatment rooms set within the landscaped grounds.  There’s also a fitness center with sauna.  Hotel staff is on-hand to help arrange excursions and explorations of the surrounding area.

Restaurant choices include C-Salt, a modern international eatery open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the seafood-showcasing venue Fish Bar.  The Lounge serves beverages and snacks and is open for dinner while Java+ offers grab and go coffees and fresh pastries.  For those who don’t want to leave the pool, Water Bar has a menu of light snacks and cool refreshments.

Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa is a Marriott Rewards category 4 hotel.
