New Look, New Brand at the Ma Hotel in Bangkok

A rebranding and remodel is breathing new life into the former Manohra Hotel, now known as the Ma Hotel.
It recently reopened with new décor in the guest rooms, public areas, restaurant and back of house. The hotel undoubtedly hopes the old complaints of a budget hotel beginning to show its age will be replaced with raves about quality accommodations for a fair price.
The Ma Hotel’s motto is that it’s a smart choice for travelers based on its smart design and smart system, one that gets you a higher grade of service than you’d expect based on the price you pay. The Ma Hotel is located in the Bangkok Gems Trading Center paralleling the city’s famous Silom Road.
DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket opens in Surin

Hilton Worldwide announced yesterday the opening of the very first DoubleTree branded property in Thailand.
Formerly the Courtyard by Marriott, the 4 star DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Phuket at Surin Beach on the west coast of Phuket is located 24 kilometers from Phuket International Airport.
There are four room types and two suite types. All are 32 square meters and are equipped with 37 inch flat screen TVs, a large bathtub and private balcony or terrace, depending on the room type. Room types are Double Double Deluxe and Double Double Deluxe Pool Terrace with 2 double beds, and King Deluxe and King Deluxe Pool Terrace with 1 King sized bed.

Two well-known hotel chains are taking over and making over two Thai properties located in popular beach areas.
Both conversions are expected to bring new life to these resorts by adding their brand names and making big changes.
Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach
The former Sala Talay Resort and Spa, which is now known as Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach. Currently the resort offers 55 rooms and suites ranging from 45-95 square meters, all with crisp bedding, walk-in rain showers, bathtubs, free WIFI and balconies. The plan is to expand to 188 rooms by adding a new wing to the property. The wing will house the Holiday Inn KidSuites, which will include child-friendly features like bunk beds, TVs with game consoles and play corners. Three large swimming pools surround the area where the new wing will be located, including one with a water slide.
