Thai trade defiant in wake of attacks on resort towns

There have recently been a large series of bomb blasts in resort towns in Thailand. This has caused a considerable amount of concern for the huge numbers of tourists that are always visiting the beautiful country. Nonetheless, officials are stating that these bomb blasts are going to have a minor impact on future bookings of visiting the country.
- A series of bomb blasts rocked several resort towns in Thailand during the August 12 Mother’s Day weekend and caused considerable concern among the international tourism community.
- Safety and security now should take precedence for the Thai trade after these “game-changing” incidents.
- The majority of member hotels have not reported any significant loss of business from cancellations and are exercising diligence in upgrading security measures.
