It is an “urban” resort with space to breathe.  Only 86 rooms and suites in a low three story courtyard style building where the rooms hug the central swimming pool and lush tropical landscaped grounds.  French colonial architecture with a contemporary bent brings the outdoors into the room interiors with a charming flair of natural ambience. Designed by one of the most influential Asian architects, Geoffrey Bawa, the style oozes understated elegance from the moment you step in through the sweeping main hotel entrance.

Three Michelin Star chef Jean-Michel Lorain created the kitchen of the hotel’s restaurant “J’aime”, which is destined to become a gastronomist’s dream.  Running under Amerigo Sesti who trained with Jean-Michel Lorain, the restaurant will have a French flair of both classical and modern fare dished up in a distinctly Asian manner of a shared table in intimate surroundings.  The U Sathorn Bangkok will have 24 hour room service on offer and the breakfast policy of “whenever and wherever”, the hotel is set to cater for all its’ guests dining requirements.  Complimentary cocktails or afternoon tea of French pastries will be on offer in the Library each afternoon as a special treat for all guests.
