Ever wanted a professional to follow you around on vacation and chronicle your day like a model? Pinpic is a new app that allows you to request the services of a professional photographer in a way similar to Uber. You can filter your results based on how much the person is asking and how well others have rated them. Pinpic began in Bangkok but has now spread to Singapore.
This app is desirable to those doing freelance photography because it allows them to cut out the middle man and take the entire sum, rather than having agencies take a portion of their money. Additionally, being able to set their own price keeps the service competitive rather than outlandish. While the features are still limited right now, the growth in the markets in both Bangkok and Singapore indicates that this service may become popular globally.
